Located at the park level within Triennale Milano, Voce is a new multipurpose space entirely dedicated to sound, music and listening.
The venue, hosted in the former spaces of a nightclub, is configured as a place of experimentation with the highest standards in terms of sound and listening quality. Opened in May 2025, Voce will host listening sessions, sound installations, concerts and live performances, as well as a public program of meetings and workshops.
Our acoustic solutions have been strategically integrated into the historic architectural layout, a “shoebox” with three asymmetrical naves framed by a grid of concrete pillars and beams. The visible surfaces conceal articulated layers of overlapping cavities and different materials, carefully engineered to achieve the best possible results, both in terms of room reverberation and sound insulation. The continuous, lateral band of absorbing panels (a wood wool boiserie crafted in collaboration with Knauf Ceiling Solutions) stands out as a distinctive yet discrete acoustic feature of the space. The technical solution adopted for the false ceiling includes a spring-suspended soundproofing layer, plus a combination of porous and perforated panels coated with acoustic plaster to achieve the desired tonal balance in terms of room absorption and “liveness”.
The project introduces a custom sound system designed by Giorgio di Salvo, featuring an iconic soundwall complemented by eight surround speakers, thus enabling artists to perform with spatial audio in an immersive sound environment. The audiovisual experience is elevated by a complex lighting project developed by Anonima/Luci.
