Opened in September 2024, Serra Madre is a cultural production centre dedicated to “ecological imagination” through the dialogue between art and science. The new space is located within the hub of the former greenhouses of the Giardini Margherita, already a successful case study in urban regeneration processes.

Equipped with an immersive audio system, Serra Madre will fuel innovative practices of artistic production and research through residencies, public programmes, educational activities and exhibitions, with a specific focus on perception and listening.

Our team supported the project by designing the interior acoustics of the performance space, while ensuring that the original architectural concept was preserved. Furthermore, we contributed to the overall functionality of the space by working on the integration of the immersive loudspeaker layout into the room.
