Envisioned as a multipurpose music venue, the facility features an auditorium with 314 seats dedicated to the Music High School, and also available to the municipality as a cultural venue.
Our primary focus was on the acoustic design and reshaping of both the audience area and the stage, which can now accommodate a compact chamber orchestra.
The hall’s architectural design is distinguished by a unique sliding wall system that spans the entire audience. This is a bespoke variable acoustic system, ensuring optimal room acoustics and adaptability for a variety of music events. Slatted wood panels mounted on rails, straightforward to operate and maintain, provide substantial sound absorption adjustments while retaining their diffusive property. The acoustic finishes have been meticulously designed to achieve a reverberation time suitable for classical repertoire as well as amplified music and conferences, ranging from about 0.8 to 1.2 seconds.
The foyer features a distinctive slatted wood wall that creates the impression of looking out over the stage of the music hall.
Following the inaugural concert by the high school orchestra in June 2023, the auditorium received heartfelt praise from local and regional authorities, and it has since opened to students and the general public.
